Splash On The Breakers
This visual memory of a vigorous, pounding wave on one of “five-sister” breakers is simulating my visual recall of the surging ocean. Many residents enjoy the ocean’s powerful surging effects on and over these stone breakers. The tides crash and erupt in endlessly varied ways, cresting their shapes into the sky; with spray and splatter, depth and translucency of the water’s colors, and the wave’s bursting energy – all were more easily effected on slick plastic surface; where the paint was easily manipulated to achieve maximum visual sense of the water’s rolling wave action toward the shore; with an edge of sandy beach, suggested by the more diluted foreground colors.
